Christmas Trip!!

Well as most of everyone know Ben was working in Texas and had been since September. Well on December 13 he finally came home. Wyatt and I were so excited we drove all the way to Joplin, Mo to get him. On the 17 of December we head to Idaho for Christmas and New Years. We got there and had so much fun hanging out and seeing family. Three days before Christmas Ben was heading to Logan to buy Christmas for me when he was ran off the road. He wasn't hurt but my truck was, about 10,000 dollars worth of damage. Thank goodness for insurance! We got it fixed, but we ended up staying at my mom and dad's for a month. We had so much fun being there, but was glad to get home and back to some what of a schedule. In the mean time our truck is fixed, we are home, school starts this week, Wyatt goes back to daycare, and Ben goes back to work.

Oh the things they say!!

I was on my way home from school today, I had picked Wyatt up from the daycare and was driving the 15 minutes home. Last summer I got a chip in my windshield and when we took it through the car wash the hot water on the outside and the A/C on the inside put a huge crack on my window. I know nice right. Well we where on our way home and this was the conversation between Wyatt and I.

Wyatt: Mom your truck is broken you need to get it fixed.

Me: What's wrong with my truck?

Wyatt: right there on the window mom there is a crack you need to get it fixed.

Me: Okay I will get it fixed.

Wyatt: don't worry Mom I will fix your window i have screwdrivers in my packpack.

Me: oh really what are you going to do with screwdrivers??

Wyatt: I am going to fix the crack in the window.

Me: oh thank you buddy that would be nice.

Wyatt: Ya mom i will fix it cause I am very super strong.

Me: LAUGHED!! I was laughing so hard that I couldn't say anything, but what did you say Wyatt??

Wyatt: I said I am very super strong, and I am very super fast to.

I love my little boy and it makes me so happy that he is old enough that he wants to help me fix everything. I really can't wait for the day that he can actually do it, but I do pray that he never tries to fix my windshield with a screwdriver. Life is so wonderful and I am so grateful for my son.

Thanksgiving at Grma Jean's

Since Ben is still gone Wyatt and I decided to spend Thanksgiving at Ben's mom's house in Iowa. We really like haning out with Grma Jean she lives in the country and there is always something to do. Well Wyatt and I showed up at Grma's before she got off work on Wednesday and when she arrived home she all the good stuff for some really yummy desert.

We had eaten two Thanksgiving dinners on Thursday so Friday night we sat down and made this.
Wyatt loved the ice cream more than the 7-up.

Yummy!!

Sunday afternoon Family fun!!

Last Sunday Wyatt and I decided to make cookies and while I was doing this I thought of how much I enjoy Teresa's blogs with all of her cute pictures and stories. I thought how easy is it to just take a couple pictures of the items and fun we had so here goes. Ben is still working in Texas and so Wyatt and I have fun trying to find things to keep us busy!

When I said that Wyatt and I made cookies I of course did not mean from scratch. Sams club has this great and handy little bucket of cookie dough. We usually always have a bucket in the fridge and whenever we want cookies we simply pull it out and make a batch and then back in the fridge it goes till our next cookie craving hits.

We love these treats and this is the first time that Wyatt has waned to help make them. We had a lot of fun.

Enjoy!!

Happy Halloween!

I know that this is a little late, but I reallly wanted to put pictures up of Wyatt in his Halloween Costume. I asked him about two weeks before Halloween what he wanted to be and all he would say was a Dinosaur.
We had so much fun just going around the block here in our little town. All of the people we really nice and it was great weather. It was almost to warm for him to were his costume which growing up in the west was a real change.
We stopped by one of my friends house and took some pictures also. This is her little boy Gavin and Wyatt loves playing with him.

Houston

WOW!! I have started this same blog three times maybe this time I can actually finish and post it. Well Ben has been working in Houston, Texas since about mid-September cleaning up and rebuilding the power lines after Hurricane Ike. Wyatt and I have just been tyring to get by day-by-day without our Daddy. Finally it just got to be to much and so we decided to head south for a visit. We book our flight and was able to go down there with him for a week. One of the days that we were there we took Ben lunch down on the job. It just so happen that he was working right on the Gulf so we got to play in the water and sand. It was so much fun and warm.

We were also able to drive into Houston and spend some time with our friends that we had down there. Most of them had not seen Wyatt since he was first born and others had never seen him at all. We went to a Resturant called Casa Ol, it's one of my favorite and I so missed there green sauce. It's kind of mix of Guacamole and sour cream so good.

All in all it was a great trip and I really hope that it's not another three years before I get to spend time with my friends again. I also hope that it's not to much longer till Ben comes home. He was supposed to be home on the 15th and the closer it gets to that day the further back they keep pushing it. We are now to the point where they are saying he won't be home till 2 weeks after Thanksgiving. Well i am hoping that it is soon and for now this is what's going on in the midwest.
